This issue of Little Hands is marked for great changes content wise and layout wise. Number of contents increased while the size of contents decreased. The editorial shifted to third page. On the face page, a speech by Queen Elizabeth I and an article on the Mangalyaan, the pride of India, appeared. An informative write up on the Navarathri festival is given. Under the column ‘ health watch’ Dr.Sri Divya writes on the peculiarities of ‘Nose’. Anecdotes from the lives of Edison, Newton, Einstein, George Danzing, Jacob Bronowski, Graham Bell, Gandhiji, Vivekananda etc. fill different pages. “No ipads for kids’ reveal how Steve Jobs, the man behind the popularity of ipads, kept children away from this ‘highly radio-active’ device. ‘Education today’ tells us certain stunning facts about the system of education today.


Under ‘higher education’, details of courses like TOFEL, IELTS etc. are given. It is highly informative. Magic by Magician Indra Ajith has come back in Little Hands. The two magic items given in this issue are very interesting. A write up on Anant Pai, the architect of Amarchithra Katha and Tinkle is included in the magazine. ‘The benefits of being a vegetarian’ is intended to highlight the merits of the topic. Several poems and stories written by students adorn the pages of Little Hands. ‘The need for a system’, ‘Patriotism’, ‘Education’ are all intended to motivate children. Grammar lessons, Maths corner, Test your English, Doubt clearing session, News at a glance, Book review, Believe it or not, Amazing facts and a story writing contest are other attractions of this issue
