  • A briefing on Pingali Venkayya Garu who designed our national flag, follows. Sardar Vallabhai patel is introduced to children under the column ‘Pride of the past! Thomas Alva Edison and his brief history is also made known to the curious readers.
  • There is a tribute to the famous scientist V.A Sarabhai and his contributions to science and technology.
  • The life stories of great men hailing from different fields are meant to inspire and motivate the young generation. These biographical notes will instill in them a craving for name and fame which in turn will prompt them to put effort and word hard.
  • Two of great writers –Annie Besant and Arundhati Roy are introduced to budding writers who adore them.
  • A story of the great Indian author R.K. Narayan is given in this issue of the magazine. However, since it is a long one, only one part of it is given. An illustrated feature on ‘The Gedee Museums’ in Coimbatore add to the value of this issue.
